Our Story & Meet the Team
More than Great Food
Helen, is the brains behind the Deli and she will most likely be behind the counter serving you with a smile.

About us
The building in which The Wild Fig Deli sits in was formerly an old police station. It has recently been redeveloped by a local community group called the Cricklade Development Foundation. As well as The Wild Fig, you will find Mather & Murray Financial Planning at the rear. Helen has previously owned an award winning cake shop in Birmingham and a successful internet business in London. Helen took on the lease in February 2025 and had the vision to transform it into a community based coffee shop, deli and bar hybrid. The modern sense of the word 'deli' comes from the fresh ingredients that we use in all our food and the sundries we sell.

It is centrally located on Cricklade high street and has an impressive distinctive appearance with a large shop frontage, which can be opened up via bi-folds doors in the summer. As well as tables and chairs on the high street there is a large, sunny garden at the rear with tables and sun umbrellas. This was completed at the end of 2025 so we are looking forward to seeing it used in the summer of 2026.

What our Town has to Offer
Cricklade is a popular historic market town located on the Thames Path and just outside the Cotswold Water Park. Its vibrant High Street provides a variety of independent shops including a wonderful homeware store called One, two Butchers, a Pet Shop (you should visit even if you don't have a pet just to speak to Barbara), a Hardware Store, a Yummy Cake Shop, two Charity Shops, a magical crystal shop and all things Middle Eastern called IndiCo. Cricklade is the perfect place to go for a lovely long walk, see the famous fritillaries in spring, take in its Saxon history or a spot of shopping, of course finished off with a drink and food at The Wild Fig. It is located just off the A419, approximately 8 miles south of Cirencester and 10 miles or so north of Swindon and the M4, J15.
